Chausey is an archipelago of 365 islets at low tide, 52 at high tide, and a large island, the only inhabited island, which lies off the coast of the Channel, not far from Granville, Saint-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel. On this little paradise, 7 km long and 5 km wide, there are no cars, just the sound of waves and birds. A dozen irreducible people live there year-round. Joined, in summer, by nearly 200,000 tourists who come to tread its mythical white sand beaches and try to see dolphins or seals. Needless to say, the only hotel on the island is taken by storm…!
