There was a time when Mykonos, with its dazzling white windmills, was the most typical of the Greek islands. Today, it has become, with Santorini, the most touristic island of the Cyclades. In summer, Mykonos is to the Cyclades what Ibiza is to the Balearic Islands: the island of all pleasures, parties and a meeting place for the jet-set. All thanks to Aristotle Onassis who, in the 1950s, organized the first memorable parties there with the elite of cinema, politics and jet setters.
